Garrett, Ruby Dwight Collection

Ruby Dwight Garrett was a Law graduate from Kansas City University and served in the Missouri National Guard from 1909 – 1916 and served on the Mexican Border during the punitive expedition into Mexico. He commanded the 42nd Division, also known as the Rainbow Division, from 1917 to 1919 with the rank of Colonel. He received the Purple Heart and Croix de Guerre and returned home after 1919. Garrett was a member of the signal corps, American Legion, Reserve Officers Association, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Rainbow Division Veterans Association of Missouri.

This collection contains photographs detailing signal corps activities in the A.E.F., as well as images of Allied Commanders and Officers.
