The transcription on the reverse of this photograph of two soldiers identifies them as "cook Burly Frost at right, killed around Sept 30th at Exermont 1918" and "J.H. Woolton on board US Grant." This photograph belongs to a collection compiled by Ruby Garrett, a Kansas City, Missouri lawyer who served as Chief Signal Officer in the 42nd Division during World War I.
