This photograph of 42nd Division soldiers operating a ferry in Germany in December of 1918 is one of several Signal Corps photographs in a collection compiled by Ruby Garrett. Garrett, a Kanas City lawyer, served as Chief Signal Officer of the 117th Field Signal Battalion, 42nd Division, during World War I.
