Fraas, Frank X. Collection
Frank X. Fraas served with Battery C, 129th Field Artillery, 35th Division. From Kansas City, Fraas was inducted in Independence, Missouri on May 23, 1917. He died on October 7, 1918 from wounds received in action. The collection revolves around the military service of Frank Fraas. Included are letters from Fraas to his mother and sister, as well as letters about him and his death in 1918. In addition, the collection contains materials from Frank’s mother, Agnes, on her Gold Star Pilgrimage to visit her son’s grave in France.
