Tuesday. [July 21, 1931] Dear children, There is not much to write about its just another day. We had our first rain last night and the ship tossed more than ever But at that it was not bad. Yesterday at noon we were half way over some of the Mothers have forgotten their mission and are getting homesick I am taking everything just as it comes and enjoying it all Love Mother Mrs [Charles] Baker 537 Tennessee Kansas City [Missouri]

Description | Agnes Fraas sent this postcard to her family while on board the S.S. America on her voyage to France. Agnes was on her Gold Star Mothers pilgrimage to visit the grave of her son, Frank Fraas. Frank served in the 129th Field Artillery, 35th Division and died on October 7, 1918 from wounds received in action. |
