[Newport News, Virginia] [April] 23, 1919 Dear Friend: Arrived here Sunday, but have been so busy with inspections, Examinations etc. and with all the excitement today is the first letters I have mailed and they were short. We leave for Camp Funston Kansas this morning with [35 Division] Headquarters troop, 110 Fr. Headquarters and the 35 M.P.s expect to go through Kansas City sometime Friday afternoon and I would be delighted to see you if you could be at the depot. I don
