Camp Doniphan [October] 18 - 1917 Dear Sister Agnita: Receaved your letter, some days ago but this is first chance have had to answer. alway glad to hear from you, candy came yesterday boys say send some more. Are going to parade this afternoon so we got a few hours to police up for the doings, are having another dust storm so it is useless to clean up, police up in the army means to clean up. There are 8 nuts in this tent, one is wrighting to his girl, 2 more are trying on new trowsers which we all just got. big head is raving just came in with his eyes full of dust, another is soeing a button on his shirt ouch - he stuck his self with the needle

[page 2] and Slim is pracising at wigwaging another has been ordered to watch the hay pile during the storm, and of course I am wrighting this letter, so their you are. I wish old chuck could see some of the hay piles here, over at the Post they stack baled hay every bit as high or higher as our house at home I mean just as wide and 3 times as long car loads keep coming in all the time and then is hauled to different Regements, in the big army trucks. Father Tierman held a metting last evening in

Am glad you sent all these addresses but if I juge by the time it would take to wright [ms illegible: 1 wd] I would like to, we will be here 8 years, figure it out for yourself anyhow I will do my best. Wrote to Rudy Sunday and Uncle Jack yesterday and send a couple home. Bill Breen was over to see me sunday, will look up Hubler when I get a little off time. You can send me an extry pair of leggin strings if you please, we have 2 of everything now except leggins and hats.

[page 4] Well everybody seems to have some one to wrigt to, thats all we do in spare time, is read and answer letters, maybe Ralph Woods or Hiney Bach would wright to you. Bachs army name is Lotta, cant tell you his last army name. I guess Mary felt bad when she dident get her letter in time for her birthday. I tried to send it on time. Well Nita this is about all I know for this time, I wrote Mom on Tuesday I think it was. let me know if she got it take cair of your self and tell everybody hello. Your Bro. Frank.
