Jeffrey Patrick

Wilson's Creek National Battlefield

Jeffrey Patrick is the librarian at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield in Republic, Missouri.  He has a Master of Arts Degree in History from Purdue University.  He is the author or editor of a number of books and articles on U.S. military history, including Guarding the Border:  The Memoirs of Ward Schrantz, U.S. Army, 1912-1917 (Texas A&M University Press, 2009); "To the Relief of the Wounded":  A History of Section 598, American Ambulance Service in World War I (Indiana Military History Journal, May 1987);  "On Convoy Duty in World War I":  The Diary of Guy Connor (Indiana Magazine of History, December 1993);  Becoming a Soldier at Camp Dix:  The World War I Letters of Private William Lehman (New Jersey History, Spring/Summer 1996); From Civilian Life to Army Life: Fred Pickering's World War I Narrative (Nebraska History, Fall 2009); and Sacrificing for a “Just Cause”:  The World War I Memoir of Edward F. Paule, U.S. Engineers (Journal of the Illinois State Historical Society, forthcoming).
