Milne, Lindsay S. Collection
This collection consists of photographs from the military experience of Lindsay Steven Milne. Milne enlisted in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in April 1917 and went on to command Base Hospital no. 28 in Limoges, France during World War I. Base Hospital no. 28 was comprised of physicians and nurses primarily from the University of Kansas as well as the Kansas City area. During the course of the war, the hospital had approximately 10,000 admissions. While serving in the war Milne came across a variety of wounds and illnesses ranging in severity. Some photographs in this collection are graphic in nature and should be viewed with discretion by all audiences.
