Bailey, Louise Salmon Collection
Louise Salmon Bailey worked in St. Louis with the Women’s Troop Train Service of the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA). This volunteer organization provided soldiers with food and drinks as their trains passed through St. Louis. The collection contains a portrait of Bailey in her uniform, photographs of Women’s Troop Train Service parades, and documents related to the organization’s activities.
