Replacement Camp Waco, Texas [August] 17, 1918 Prof. [Henry Milton] Whelpley c/o Meyer [Brothers] Druggist St. Louis, [Missouri] Dear Dr. Whelpley, I received your letter sometime ago and was very much pleased to hear from you. Everything is in fine running order here, soldiers are constantly coming in and going out. I was transferred to the Medical Corps about two weeks ago, but I’m sorry to state that no more attention is paid to a Graduate in Pharmacy than to the ordinary private in the Medical Corps, so far I have been working on the same plane as the rest.

I will state that I do dispense a little medicine but that is only in the morning during sick call, and only amounts to a few different kinds of tablets, sol. mag. sulph and castor oil. I am stationed at infirmary No 3 of this infantry replacement camp. Mr. H.B. Sanders [1916] and Mr. L.O Kloeckner [1914] former graduates of the [St. Louis College of Pharmacy] are here with me, and send their best regards to you.
