May 15, 1918 My dear brother Raymond, I received your letter, but about the next day we made a move & were on the move for several days so I did not have a chance to answer. I was certainly glad to receive your letter and especially so after reading it for it contained what I thought to be some very good dope. I am glad Mr. Collins was interested in you & I know he will help you all he can for you have been a good worker for him. Raymond you have got started on the right track. You have evidently go into a business that you like & all you have to do is to go to it.

[page 2] stick with the century & in a few years you will know something. There is only one way to learn anything & that is to stick to one thing & learn it thoroughly. As not allow something on the side to get you off the track. You do not know how I long to get back & help you & the folks out & to get back to the old job again. I have a great deal to look forward to when I get home again - a very great deal. However, this experience is doing me good, and I will be a lot better off for it in the long run. I am glad you got such a bargain in your wheel. You must be getting some big to have outgrown all your old

suits. How is every thing in St. Louis? Do you notice much change do to the war? of course I suppose prices on every thing are much higher but what other differences do you note - if any? I do not know what to tell you or not what to tell you. We are in a very beautiful part of France now. It is a very pretty day - clear & beautiful sunshine. I am getting up a collection of post cards which I may or may not be able to hold on to till I get a chance to leave them somewhere or do something with them. Well, I will close for this time. Your brother Glen.
