The PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES has authorized 28,000 REGULARS to be sent to FRANCE NOW is the time to PROVE that you want to FIGHT for your COUNTRY and our ALLIES! ENLIST IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY TO-DAY You can enlist for the war period only! Read this and then to show that you have RED BLOOD in your veins go straight to one of the following REGULAR ARMY Recruiting Stations and ENLIST: IN ST. LOUIS: 3rd and Olive Sts. (Old Custom House) 3rd and Washington Ave. Market St. at Broadway Market St. at 6th, 8th, 14th, and 19th Sts. IN EAST ST. LOUIS: 330 A East Broadway Also at Hannibal, Kirksville, Moberly, Jefferson City, Poplar Bluff and Cape Girardeau, [Missouri]. AND Any 2nd, 3rd and 4th Class POSTMASTER Aliens not subjects of enemy countries can now enlist without first papers.

Description

This World War I poster is part of a larger collection of propaganda material issued throughout Missouri during the war. These artfully crafted posters were distributed to help recruit men for the Navy and Marines, raise money for the war effort, and sustain public morale. This poster was used to urge men to enlist to go to France.
