FIRST TO FIGHT Give your country super-service! BE A MARINE! Marines are trained as infantrymen, artillerymen, engineers, airmen and signalmen, They are also trained in many of the duties of the sailor. Land-Sea-Sky The wide range of their usefulness has sent them first to the front in every war, or near war, in which the United States has engaged. Marines and action are synonymous, and in military terms are almost interchangeable. Action = Marines = Marines – Action U.S. Marine Recruiting Station 122 North Seventh Street, St. Louis, [Missouri].

Description

This World War I poster is part of a larger collection of propaganda material issued throughout Missouri during the war. These artfully crafted posters were distributed to help recruit men for the Navy and Marines, raise money for the war effort, and sustain public morale. This poster was used to recruit men to enlist in the U.S. Marines.
