Stevenson, Charles S. Collection

Charles Stevenson enlisted in Kansas City, Missouri and became attached to Company A, 314th Engineers at Camp Funston, Kansas.  Stevenson was shipped overseas on June 12, 1918 where he remained for the duration of the war.  After the war he was stationed in Germany until he returned to the United States on May 26, 1919. The collection consists mostly of letters and postcards from Charles to his grandparents and his younger brother Maurice. These letters provide a full scope of Stevenson’s service in the army.
