322.21 - Co. “A” Mo. Sig. Corps. Hq. Prov. Bn. Signal Corps Camp Wilson, Texas Jan. 3, 1917 From: C.O. prov. Bn. Signal Corps. To: Department Signal Officer. Subject: Final Report Co. “A” Missouri Signal Corps. 4. The most excellent work of this company while serving under my command is deserving of more than passing comment. It is exceptionally blessed with three able, intelligent and painstaking officers; but the splendid spirit of the enlisted men and the zealous manner in which they perform any and all duties assigned them has contributed more than anything else to the compamy’s efficiency. I believe this is mainly due to the able leadership of the company commander, Captain [Ruby D.] Garrett. I recommend a copy of par. 4 of this report be furnished Capt. Garrett through official channels. H.B. Black, Capt. Inf. 321.9 Militia 1st Ind. O.D.S.O., Sou. Dept., Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. January 4, 1917. To Comdg. Gen’l. Sou. Dept. Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. 1. Attention is specially invited to paragraph 4 of the above report. Personal observation of the work of this company leads me to heartily concur in the remarks make by Capt. Black. 2.
