April 30, 1919. Col. C.B. Humphrey, U.S.A. 805th Pioneer Infantry American Expeditionary Forces, France. My dear Sir:- The Missouri Historical Society begs to acknowledge receipt of your favor of April 10th with a copy of the 805th Pioneer Infantry. I beg to say that our President, Ambassador D.R. Francis is, at present in Hot Springs, Virginia; he will be informed of your courtesy, and this very valuable information will be recorded in our Minutes at the next meeting of the Advisory Board. I notice that Missouri boasts of 918 men in your gallant regiment. We are collecting records of the Missouri men for our files and furnishing copies for publication by the State Adjutant General
