Leonard was relieved from duty at the United States Army General Hospital No. 1 in New York and directed to report for duty with Anesthetic Unit No. 1. Dr. Leonard served as a contract surgeon during World War I at the U.S. Army General Hospital No. 1 in New York City and at an evacuation hospital in Vichy, France. |
