Description Letter written in French to Major Joseph J. Koch. This collection was compiled by Major Joseph Koch, a St. Louis, Missouri resident who served during the Punitive Expedition into Mexico with the First Missouri Infantry. During World War I, Major Koch was severely wounded in his left leg during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive while serving with the 35th Division, 137th Infantry.
