Transcript

St. Louis Missouri, [January] 29 1922. Maj Joseph Koch. Washington D.C. My Dear Sir: You no doubt are surprised hearing from me, however the information I am seeking can only be gotten from you. You will remember, I was discharged at Nevada, [Missouri] while enroute to the Mexican border, the cause being a defective heart, while inquiring at the Armory about the records of that time, I was informed, the captains of the various companies retained them for their personal use, now Maj. what I am after is this, provided the records are still in your possesion, is a certified statement or an affidavit stating the cause of my termination with the service at that time, as this information is very imperative in the adjudication of my claim with the Gov. I will greatly appreciate your doing this for me. In closing I sincerely trust your wounded foot is now O.K., and that you are well & happy. I remain as Ever Alexander G. Munro. 5987 Romaine Pl.
