Description In a letter to his mother dated May 11, 1919, Hockaday wishes his mother a Happy Mother's Day, discusses saying goodbye to the friends in his Company and speculates when the Army of Occupation will be leaving for America. Hockaday also describes the death of a man in his platoon, "Bennie" Gohl of Kansas City.
