HEADQUARTERS SECOND ARMY American E. F. France, 30 January 1919. From Chief of Staff, Second Army. To: Commanding General, 35th Division. (Through 1x Corps) Subject: 129th Machine Gun Battalion. 1. The Army Commander notes with great satisfaction the excellent condition of the billets and administrative arrangement of the 129th Mach. Gun Bn. indicated in the report of a Staff Officer of these Headquarters, who recently visited this organization. Neatness and cleanliness were characteristic throughout. The attention and effort for the welfare of the men as shown by the expedients by which inviting lofts had been converted into satisfactory quarters are to be the highest degree commendable.
