Headquarters 35th Division, Camp Doniphan, Ft. Sill, [Oklahoma], October 29, 1917. MEMORANDUM. The following telegram from the War Department is published for the information and compliance with of all concerned: "Washington, D.C., October 28, 1917. Commanding General, Camp Doniphan, Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. In accordance with recent law allotments are paid same month they accrue instead of one month later as heretofore prescribed period. All officers are therefore enjoined to make prompt reports to prevent erroneous payments and to exercise great care in making proper entries on payrolls so that monthly amounts allotments will be withheld from soldiers pay period. Officers will thus avoid pecuniary loss indicated in paragraph army regulations. McCain." By command of Brigadier General Berry: J.M. Hobson, Maj., Inf., N.A., Division Adjutant. Copy to all organization commanders.

HEADQUARTERS THIRTY FIFTH DIVISION, Camp Doniphan, Fort Sill, [Oklahoma], October 29, 1917. MEMORANDUM: 1. Information received from Camp Quartermaster that the money for organizations which have not already been paid will be turned over to the different supply officers for payment to troops today. Organization commanders will notify men who have been transferred since September 30th, and who have not yet been paid, that they should go to their former organizations to receive the September pay due them.
