HEADQUARTERS SIXTY-NINTH INFANTRY BRIGADE A.E.F. France, July 3, 1918. FIELD ORDERS NO. 5) 1. In compliance with Memorandum Order from the 22nd Infantry Division (French), dated July 1st, 1918, Companies C, (now at KRUTH), and D, (now at FELLERINGEN), 129th Machine Gun Battalion will proceed by marching to LEMAYEUR, to arrive not later than 6:00 P.M., reporting upon arrival to the commanding officer, 137th Infantry, U.S. for the purpose of relieving, on the night of July 3/4, Saint-Etienne Machine Guns. 2. The machine gunners of the 118th French who operate the Saint-Etienne guns will rejoin their regiment. The Saint Etienne machine guns will be transported through the agency of the commander of the North Segment to the 1'E R.D. at WESSERLING, where they will be inspected and repaired. 3. One Officer and two N.C.O's from each company will proceed immediately to LEMAYEUR and reconnoiter the positions their companies are to occupy. The officers and N.C.O
