At 5:10 P.M. one plane behind enemy line. At 8:10 A.M. one in observation at LANGENFELT KOPF flew north. Seven more planes over S/S during A.M. (b) Balloons: - One at WASSENBERG up 6:00 A.M. down 8:10 P.M. Three north of WASSENBERG up 7:00 A.M. down (?) One near LUTENBACH up 5:30 A.M. down 8:15 A.M. One near LUTENBACH up 8:10 A.M. down 10:36 A.M. One near LUTENBACH up 10:24 A.M. down 10:54 A.M. One near LUTENBACH up 3:15 P.M. down 3:30 P.M. One near LUTENBACH up 3:54 P.M. down 4:16 P.M. Two men repairing telephone at 40.12 in COLETTE Sector. VI. GENERAL IMPRESSIONS. (a) Normal day except for an increase in number and activity of aeroplanes. More balloons in observation also. (b) Visibility - generally good. VII. MISCELLANEOUS. (a) Smokes - at 4:10 A.M. from 50.70-31.80 BREITENBACH WOODS, at 6:30 A.M. from 51.82-35.86, at 9:55 A.M. from 53.20-3408 behind BREISCHBERG, also from 17.97, 33.74, 50.08, 18.96, 17.87 (b) Signals:- At 10:53 P.M. Two white rockets from 510.393. At 11:00 A.M. to 12:45 P.M. five white rockets at 508.305 (c) Helio at 9:25 A.M. at 52.10-35.90 (?) (d) KLEIN BELCHEM cable seen at 8:25 P.M. and 11:40 A.M. (e) M.G. locations worked out as follows: PETIT BRAUNKOPF (51:76-35.38), south slope of ILIEN KOPF (51.60-33.90), LANGUETTE (51.23-34.74), LANGUETTE (51.36-34.76), PETIT BRAUNKOPF (51.74-35.57) VIII.
