Co. C. 129th Mach. GUN Bn. at Steinabrook. July 21, 1918. Order for relief:- 1. The Gun crews of Co. C. 130th M.G. Bn will relieve the Gun crews of Co. C. 129th M. G. Bn tonight. 2. Each Platoon leader will detail one N.C.O. per gun to remain on duty with each gun for 24 hours after the relief in accomplished. 3. Each Platoon leader will detail a sufficient number of runners to guide Mach. Gun crews of new Company to their respective position. Guides then detailed will report to these Hdq. By 4:00 P.M. 4. Lt. Cushing will remain at Steinabrook for 24 hours after the relief is accomplished, and will then with the 10 N.C.O. proceed to Kruth. 5. The Gun crews when relieved will be conducted by the Senior N.C.O. proceed to Kruth. 5. The Gun crews when relived will be conducted by the Senior N.C.O. to rendeivous of Company on the Camp Picard, Boussat Road. 6. The 10 Hotchkiss Guns, 10 trypods, 10 canvas gun cases now at Geisbold, La Cave, Chemen de Fer, and La Valle will be left in place. Ammunition for the Hotchkiss guns at the above named places to be turned over to relieving crews. All pistol and rifle ammunition in excess of amount required to be carried on person to be left with the Gun crews. 7. The two guns, trypods and all ammunition now at Camp Mounier is to be delivered at Camp Picard to detail from Co. C. 130th M.G.Bn. Spare barrels, spare part kits, gunner puches and etc., are to be sent to Camp Picard to Sgt. Senn. 8. Platoon leaders will arrange to have all packs delivered to wagon on road above Mitlock, between 10 A.M. and 3:PM this to be done by sending a part of Section at a time. 9. The section at Camp Mounier will report to Camp Picard with packs by 3 P.M. 10. 3 Pack mules will be sent to Camp Mounier to transport Officers Baggage, guns and all Company property to Camp Picard. 11. 2 pack mules will be sent to Geisbodle for Officers Baggage, and etc. 12. 3 mules will be sent to these Hdq. for Officers Baggage and etc. 13. The following property will be left in the gun positions and turned over to the gun crews of the 130th taking receipt in duplicate there for: French trench stores, Reserve Trench Rations, Bed Sacks, Jerkins, trench Ration Cans, Fireless Cookers, Anti-gas appliances and stores, 10 Hotchkiss Guns, Trypods and Canvas Gun Covers, all Hotchkiss gun ammunitionand such rifle and pistol ammunition in excess of amount required to be carried on the person. 14. When relief is accomplished platoon leaders will notify these Hdq. By runner. [signature] D. D. McDonald Capt. 129th M. G. BN, Commanding Co. C.
