Transcript
Harrisonville, Missouri April 26, 1917. Hon. Champ Clark, Speaker, Washington, D.C. Dear Sir:- I admire your stand on “conscription”. We seem to be drifting toward “Militarism” pretty fast. I see it is stated it will take $2,000,000. to pay the expense of advertising the War Loan. This is pure graft? We get offers every day from brokers to furnish us all we want without commission. They dont need any advertising. With best wishes, I am, Yours for Liberty, Chas E Allen
