Corporal Frank O W 2 [ms illegible: 2 wds] A R [ms illegible] Camp McArthur American Exped Force France Dear Vena I will drop you a few lines I am OK and felling fine this is a beautiful country over here nice and cool I think I make a good pack mule by the time I get back I wont need any [ms illegible: 1 wd] to hall any thing to market I can just put it on my back and you to Dear and then not have much load ha you might fall of though how are you getting along. is it still dry over there it rain every day here we dont stop for rain put our rain coats on and go ahead like we were going duck hunting back in [Missouri] we have fine roads all paved so isnt bad to walk only a little slick some times if it was back home it would be mud knee deep and then some. the grain looks good here just in the shock and is green looking and the shock are as high as my head.
