[Office Correspondence letterhead] [November] 6, 1914 Mr. Rotter: We have received a letter from the Treasury Department at Washington, advising us as to the duty on castings which we might import from Europe. Two paragraphs apply to such importations as follows: Paragraph 125:

Description Letter from James R. Harris, Vice President and General Manager of the Busch-Sulzer Brothers Diesel Engine Company, to Max Rotter, Vice President of Engineering. Harris informed Rotter that they had received suggestions to improve the castings imported from Europe. The Busch-Sulzer Brothers Diesel Engine company was located at Utah and 2nd street in St. Louis, Missouri. The company was founded in February of 1911 by Adolphus Busch and produced submarine engines for the U.S. Navy during World War I.
