Description <p>John Jurgen Dykman wrote this diary about his high school experiences just prior to being drafted into the Army in February of 1918. Dykman attended Amoret High Scool in Bates County, Missouri. He was sent to Fort Riley, Kansas to report for the draft and contracted the Spanish Influenza and died on March 26, 1918.</p>
