office and every thing was sitting pretty till them dam mumps came in. How is Mr. George. I am going to try and get a sick furlough If I can [ms illegible 1 wd] "S" Lieuten's out enough. Most of my Co have left for France. I am glad that I was in the hospital or I would have had to went. The boys in this ward swear they will kill me, I tell them so many niger stories.
