Monday Night. Dear Home, I threw a letter off the train yesterday somewhere in [Virginia]. Don't know whether you got it or not so will tell you where I am now. I had a fine trip coming up but I told you about it up to [Virginia] in that other letter. I saw Washington D.C. and the capitol buildings. Went thru Baltimore, [Philadelphia], and this morning went into New York City. We took the ferry boat across the bay to Long Island and then the train out here. The camp is 63 miles from [New York] and good train service but I doubt if I will be here long enough to go in. So far I like it better here than I

did in Gordon but I am still in that bunch of dagoes and no chance to get out till it is all over with me or the war. I will write a real letter as soon as I get time but I have to write to Camp Dodge for my mail and then get to bed. I had only 2 hours sleep last night as I was on guard. Hamp. Co. B. 326 Infantry Camp Upton New York.
