June 2, [1918] Dear Home, Another week gone and I am still going. I have felt better but I am still a long way from being sick. I have been watching every mail for a letter from you but have received none so far. Got a letter from the Hunter's Friday which is the only one during the past week. Mrs. H. has sold her car at last and made $20 on the deal. I suppose she is thru with second hand cars now as this was some pill. They have also moved back to their old home. You dont realize how hard it is to write a letter. There is nothing I can tell you except that I am well. I cant even say what country I am in or

have been in but what I have seen of this is pretty. Every thing is growing and when I see a garden I think of home. I will send my address in each letter untill I hear from you because a lot of the letters are destroyed. It is Corp. Hampton B. Ball, Co. B. 326 Infantry American Expeditionary Forces. Don't fail to write as much as possible and send some kind of papers. I have only seen one paper in the last three weeks and there was very little in that. As ever Hamp P.S. I can't even find ink here so I use anything I can find to write with.
