Title U.S. Army Uniform Button
Description This button is indicative of many United States Army buttons seen on the olive drab uniforms of WWI soldiers. This generic button was one of the most commonly seen on American WWI uniforms. This button belonged to James Virgil Thomas who was a pilot from Willard, Missouri with Squadron L based out of San Diego, California. He died during a transcontinental air race used to promote the air service in 1919.
