    Description This officer’s uniform belonged to 1st Lieutenant Claude Henry Rathbone of Springfield, Missouri. Rathbone was inducted into the Army on November 27, 1917 and was mustered into the air service and served overseas. A photograph of Rathbone with this cap on can be seen in the Greene County Honor Roll, hosted in the collections section of Missourioverthere.org. Also present is the “Sam Brown” belt. The belts are characterized by their dark leather appearance the chest strap. Rathbones tunic is also adorned with his Missouri War with Germany Medal. And a shoulder patch of the Advance Sector, Service of Supply organization.
