Description The United States Government held four Liberty Loan Drives between 1917 and 1918. These patriotic initiatives were a crucial source of funding for the American war effort. Those who purchased a Liberty Loan Bond were given these small metal pins featuring an eagle and the inscription “I Bought/Have You/Liberty Loan Bonds.”
