Bauer, Royal Papers
This collection consists of Royal D. Bauer’s diary and correspondence outlining his service in the Navy during World War I. Bauer trained at Naval Training Station at Great Lakes, IL and was later stationed at the Naval Air Station at Guipavas and Pauillac in France. He sailed aboard the USS Carola and USS Martha Washington during his service. His diary provides daily details of his military service and personal accounts of his experiences.
