This mural in honor of notable Lawrence County veterans stands just opposite of the historic Lawrence County Courthouse in Mt. Vernon Missouri. Two WWI veterans are painted into the Mt. Vernon street scene; Charles Barger, and L.R. (Jake) Millsap. The mural was dedicated November 5, 2016, it took 63 days to complete and was painted by artist Raine Clotfelter.
