Atchison County Memorial Building

Description

The Atchison County Memorial Building was constructed in 1919 with support from the Missouri General Assembly to serve as a lasting memorial to WWI veterans. The building is still supported by the Atchison County Memorial Building Foundation who provides funds and services in support of the memorial. 

Adjacent to the Memorial Building is a memorial plaza and Walk of Honor that commemorates the service of all Atchison County Veterans. They Atchison County Memorial Foundation still accept bricks for the walk of honor in memory of an Atchison County, Missouri veteran.
