World War I Photograph Collection
This photograph collection was compiled by Richard A. Harris during his service overseas and preserved by his descendants, the Caldwell family, of Marion County, Missouri. The photographs illustrate various aspects of the war including the postwar occupation of Germany, skulls in trenches, Belleau Wood, artillery, prisoners of war, German planes in Verdun, emaciated prisoners of war, and soldiers marching on Paris.
