[November] 23, 1918 Dear Doc (Whelpley) St. Louis I know you will realize why I especially feel relief in the dawn of peace – you heard my sigh – when you were here in June 6/ [1917] – Since then my good sister has passed away, no – not since then – but on April 27, [1917] – and I learned of it on [April 27, 1918] - just the anniversary of her death through a nephew in Mexico WB Wilhelm Bodemann, Chicago, [Illinois]

Description | Wilhelm Bodermann sent this letter to Dr. Henry Milton Whelpley. Dr. Whelpley was the dean of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and editor of the Meyer Brothers Druggist magazine. Bodermann mentioned that he had recently been made aware of his sister’s death who had died the previous year. |
