aboard ship. There are a number of St. Louis C.P. men here, but I hardly think any of them are very favorably impressed with navy life as far as a Pharmacist is concerned. Something surely ought to happen so that a Pharmacist would receive due recognition in the Army and Navy. The Army men have the better of the deal by far. For in the Navy there is absolutely no distinction made between a man of Pharmaceutical ability who has studied it as a profession and one who hasn’t any knowledge whatsoever of the elementary principles of Pharmacy.

I should think the life of a Sailor or Soldier as much value as any other and no one in civilian life cares to have a prescription compounded by any other than a capable man. If there is any possible way to put the Edmonds Bill through it sure ought to have the Support of every pharmacist, only one who has had the experience can really understand the situation and see what a proposition we are up against. Thanking you an advance for filling out enclosed blank, I am yours Very Truly, Walter C. Good Co. 9 Hosp. Corps, N.R.S. [San Francisco, California]
