[November] 26th 1918 Dear Mr. Reinhardt: I received your most welcomed letter dated [October] 28th today and surely pleased to hear from you. We are all anxiously waiting the day for our return journey to the good old U.S.A. Very proud of all the folks at home for you all have certainly shown the true American spirit by the wonderful work of the boosting the 4th loan so high above what we think

[page 2] was really expected, sure bet you enjoyed the work I am in the best of health and kept very busy now that we have moved in the new infirmary as I am in charge of the drug room and spend a good deal of time mixing the dope. We have twice as many men here as there was when I was first assigned permanently as this camp, so you can see this camp is much larger then it was a few months ago. I met [William] Clinton a

[page 3] couple weeks ago and he said he worked for Meyer [Brothers] before entering the service I told him that I was corresponding with you, and he ask me to have you remember him to Billie Hansdorf also connected with your firm. I guess you had some great celebrations the day the armistice was signed, Over Here we had some wonderful times. We are having pretty miserable weather rain for the last three days, our hip boots certainly came in handy.

[page 4] We hardly expect to get home for Xmas, so twelve of us are planning a big dinner to celebrate the day, thats one time of the year we must enjoy ourselves not matter where we are.
