St.Louis [Missouri] [November] 10 – [1917] Dear Mr. Whelpley: I received your card of [November] 7. thank you. My son wrote me he was writing Mr. C. F. Meyer a letter that he hoped he would publish in your book perhaps I have sent the photograph to soon or mail is slow in coming. My son is in Rouen France and has charge of the Hospital linen his address is inclosed in this letter. he likes his work and his health is good. I am sorry to take up your time but still I like to so as he asks of me. Thank You Respt. Mrs Rosa Knecht 7716 Vermont av.

Description Rosa Knechton sent this letter to Dr. Henry Milton Whelpley on behalf of her son. Dr. Whelpley was the dean of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and editor of the Meyer Brothers Druggist magazine. Ms. Knecht explained why, in a previous letter, she had sent Dr. Whelpley a photo of her son, who was serving in Rouen, France.
