Base Hospital, Camp Hancock Augusta, [Georgia] May 2, 1918 Just a greeting from one of the finest camps in the country. Have been here since March 15. Received a commission as major a few days ago. After a few works as assistant chief I was made chief of the surgical service today. We now have almost 1000 beds and when the additions are finished we will have 1500.
