[December] 4th [1918] Dear Dr. [Henry Milton] Whelpley: Received the copy of the Meyer [Brothers] Druggist for November, and most heartily commend you in your selection of the cover. The drawing is particularly timely and well deserves the circulation it will receive as the front piece of this popular trade journal. Of course the war is over, and it is only a question of time when we will all, or most all, be back and again take up where we left off. I certainly am

anxious to again get in the selling game, and I don’t know of another house that I would rather be associated with than the reliable Meyer Brothers. And I surely hope it wont be long until I will again be carrying their catalog and samples of Red Diamond and Certified Drugs. Description | O.W. Davis sent this letter to Dr. Henry Milton Whelpley. Dr. Whelpley was the dean of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and editor of the Meyer Brothers Druggist magazine. Davis wrote that he would like to work for Meyer Brothers Drug Company when he returned home from the war. This letter was written on American Red Cross letterhead. |
