Regimental Infirmary, 335th F.A., Camp Pike, [Arkansas], April 2 1918 Dr. [Henry Milton] Whelpley, Dean, St. Louis College o f Pharmacy, 2108 Locust St., St. Louis, [Missouri], Dear Professor – Your very welcome reply to mine of last week received and I wrote soon to the secretary and got his answer, and am enclosing blank form. Am also enclosing affidavit as I believe it is possible to date this of the same as the a similar affidavit I made out on graduation from the college. And it would save me the notary’s fee. If this can not be done then just send it back with the other form. To bring in another subject will say I recently received a letter from Mr. Skeye, Ph.G. [1917] telling me of your desire to know more of my recent wedding. I enclose the information desired on another sheet. Thanking you kindly and with regards to the faculty, I am sincerely Joseph E. Hamilton (Private, U.S.A.)

Description | Joseph E. Hamilton sent this letter to Dr. Henry Milton Whelpley. Dr. Whelpley was the dean of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and editor of the Meyer Brothers Druggist magazine. In this letter, Hamilton asked Dr. Whelpley to complete an affidavit stating that he had graduated from pharmacy school. Hamilton also provided information regarding his marriage. This letter was written on Y.M.C.A. letterhead. |
