[Great Lakes, Illinois] [October] 29, 1918. Dr. [Henry Milton] Whelpley Editor Meyer [Brothers] Druggist St. Louis [Missouri] Dear Sir:- Received your letter and a copy of the Meyer [Brothers] Druggist. Sure was glad to get it and found it most interesting. I hope Mrs. Whelpley & yourself have kept away from the Flu. It sure had some of our boys down here. It is all over now and we are sure glad of it. They gave us a “shot” of Pobelts Sol. each morning . We have some hospital camp here and will try to go thru it some day. Well Mr. Whelpley I hope all the professors are well at college and give them my best regards. I was sure sorry to read of Prof. Hemm’s son and I sympathize with him. Where is Carl now? I think he left right after school closed. Thanking you many times for the Meyer [Brothers] druggist, I remain yours truly, Jacob F.
