Camp Greenleaf [August] 24 To the treasure of the A.PH.A. Dear Sir: Today I received from the N.V.C.P. (115 in 86) many letters from you. I regret that I can not, at the present, renew my membership. I am in the Medical Dept of the U.S. Army, Although a Ph.G. I am with others not only of different occupation, strange altogether to medicine, but also illiterate and of different nationality, who can not speak even english. advise me to make any petition, in order to obtain recognition, of any kind in the Army. What dept, in your opinion will be good for a pharmacist? Please give me your advise on the subject, as I don’t think that it will be justice to me, if I will be sent “over there” as a stretch bearer.
