Whitney of Houston, [Texas]) Havana, Cuba, [September 10, 1918] Gentlemen: - From M. d. and “Pill Roller” to second mate of an ocean steamer at 56 is some change; but this old boy has taken it. Am well and hearty and on my 4th trip between New Orleans, Mobile, Pensicola & this city. One thing is certain this is no “postage stamp” job with kind regards to M. B. H. [George] V.
